Texting Shorthands and Abbreviations
For use in CommunicationProtocols, in particular, texting (SMS), IM, Dodgeball shouts, and of course, Twitter.
shorthand(pluralization) = likely expansion 1(pluralization), likely expansion 2 etc. use context to pick specific expansion where more than one is possible.
Shorthandization
- Final e-schwa dropping, e.g. Flickr. Others:
- chrgr = charger
- filterd = filtered
- orderd = ordered
- trvl = travel
- "ing" to "n" shortening, e.g.
- dancn = dancing
- rippn = ripping
- twittn = twitting
- uploadn = uploading
